The 99th Annual Clonakilty Agricultural Show takes places this weekend on Sunday the 8th June

A fun day for one and all, with a little Agriculture thrown into the mix.

The date is Sunday 8th June 2014.
The usual venue: Clonakilty Agricultural Show Grounds.

With the usual attractions (Cattle, Horses, Ponies, Sheep, Fowl, Dogs etc) AND entertainment.
A Great Day Out For All The Family.

Cork Food Fest / Summer Show - June 13th - 15th

Experience Cork Food Fest will be hosted by The Munster Agricultural society in conjunction with the well established Cork Summer Show.

The Cork Summer Show, one of Cork's oldest agricultural shows will now be known as Experience Fest and will run at Curraheen Park from Friday, June 13th to Sunday, June 15th.

Teagasc are organising a Farm Walk on the dairy farm of Edward & Olivia Fitzgerald, 2013 national winners of the NDC & Kerrygold Quality Milk Awards, at Tobernea, Effin, Kilmallock, Co. Limerick.

Did you know?
The Food Pyramid recommends three servings from the 'milk, yogurt and cheese' food group each day, and for those aged 9-18 years, five servings daily are recommended. Examples of a serving include 200ml of milk, 125ml of yogurt or 25g of hard cheese.



National Dairy Week - May 12th-18th 2014

National Dairy Week runs from the May 12th-18th 2014, and is a nationwide celebration of dairy.

During this week, the National Dairy Council aims to highlight the quality of dairy foods in Ireland, and to raise awareness of how dairy is produced from farm to fridge. It also aims to raise awareness of the nutritional benefits of milk, yoghurt and cheese, and the vital role they can play as part of a healthy, balanced diet.

Foodie Towns of Ireland 2014

The Restaurants Association of Ireland, in conjunction with Admailer.ie from An Post, are on the search for Ireland’s premier foodie destination. Ten towns/destinations from all over the country will battle it out to be named Ireland’s top town for a foodie experience.
