About the Ploughing -
The National Ploughing Championshipswill be held at Screggan, Tullamore, Co. Offaly from Sept 19th - 21st 2017.
The National Ploughing Championships is Europe's largest Outdoor Exhibition and Agricultural Trade Show and saw the most successful Championships ever last year with 281,000 attendees and over 1,500 delighted exhibitors.
The National Championships is not just for ploughing or machinery enthusiasts, this modern event features something for just about every member of the community.
These include a Tented Trade Village, a Food Fair, Craft Village, Livestock, Forestry, Education, Lifestyle, Financial Services, Bio Energy and Agri Service. Along with this, there are many entertainment and special events taking place. Some of these include: Fashion Shows, Celebrity Guests, Sheep Dog Trials, Loy Digging, All Ireland Lamb Shearing, Craft Demonstrations, Meggers, Celebrity Cookery Demonstrations, Outdoor Radio Broadcasts and much more. With all this happening, the 2016 Championships attracted over 1,700 exhibitors and a record crowd of 283,000 visitors.
